FGB update: We are at $8,273 total raised. I think our group goal should be to hit $10,000 by Sunday! Let’s do it!

  2. Em says:

AND DON’T FORGET, Josh and I have a bet as to who will raise the most money. If he wins, he keeps the “beard”. If I win, he said I could shave it off Friday before FGB (insert happy dance)…come on everybody!! Help me out!! ANY amount is great and much appreciated, and you know its going to a great cause. You can go to to read about some of the participants and why they are raising money. Then you can click “donate” and pick me =) or Josh and donate any amount. See everyone in the box soon and definately at FGB6!! Thanks!!

    Freaking AWESOME!

I love Josh,….but I think watching the joy just POOR OUT of Em while shaving that thing before the festivities sounds like way too much fun!

I’m in for $10 on Em.

    Walt, HELL YEA!! GET SOME!

This morning 6am class. Freaking awesome. Way to go everyone. Rian good to see you in there early to come do that nastyness with us.

    Walt – 10 on you.

Em – There is two Em’s in the list. Which one does it need to go to? I am going to toss a dice and decide for or against.. 🙂

It is going to be fun in Winston this weekend. We have a great group of lifters going. And we have so many people willing to help Oly lifters – Julie G, Tony, Josh, Thomas, Daniel all made a difference in our training and technique.

Hate I am going to miss this weekend and FGB due to traveling, but my money goes to….Emily! Sorry Josh, but sacrificing the beard for a noble cause is worth it. You should be able to pick up a few reps without it. CFW is at #19 in the country this morning, let’s try to make the Top 10!

I donated to Josh. That big goose egg he had just made me feel pity for him. Looks like he will be face shaved next Friday.

Josh – I will shave mine as well so you don’t feel as bad. 😉

Best of luck to the lifters. I know you’ll do great. I’ve seen Scott training and he is bad ass. I am starting a week of broth and meat a la the GAPS diet to prepare for my MRI in October. I am also hoping it will knock off this ‘winter’s coming’ spare tire I’ve been cultivating. If anyone wants to join me, I’ll be blogging daily and posting the broth recipes on my web site and on my FB page It starts September 15th. A week of broth and meat is a great way to kick start a strict paleo regiment, get past any weight loss road blocks and heal your digestive system. It’s also great if you have been letting your sugar addiction get out of hand like I have and want to stop it. Or if you have been drinking too much and want to get back on track. I’m making chicken, beef, pork, fish and duck broth and eating the meat. Unlimited quantities and since you’re not trying to influence MRI results, you may only want to do 3 days. You don’t have to let me know if you’re going to try it, just know that I will be blogging about it if you’re interested.

Sensei, thanks for clarifying which one. When I registered, I had several issues and ended up creating two accounts. Honestly, since both accounts (Emily Edwards & Emily Ann Edwards) are mine, no matter which account a donation is put in, it will go to my final number. Thanks for all who have donated to me so far….I really appreciate it. Keep it coming and I’ll make sure the joyful shaving ceremony is on video for your viewing pleasure =). Keep those donations rolling in!!!
