What can you do in 30 minutes?
You could watch the latest episode of your favorite show on TV. Or you could run 3 miles. Or you could even take a (short) nap.
Let’s stay within the context of fitness for a moment. In 30 minutes could you take steps to improve your strength? Maybe take some steps to get your first handstand, or your first pull up? In 30 minutes could you work on some mechanical problems in your Olympic lifts?
We think so.
Now what if you were personally guided for that 30 minutes to work towards your specific goal? Do you think you would progress faster than working on your own?
With targeted practice, we know that you can reach your goals faster than just working on them sporadically. Spending time frequently, if not daily, working on weaknesses and seeking progress will help you improve faster and more effectively.
We understand that creating a plan to reach your goals can sometimes be daunting. That’s where our coaches come in. We can spend that 30 minutes guiding you, and then give you a plan to work on for the next few weeks. Then we meet back again and see where we’ve gotten.
For example, if your goal is to get a bar muscle up and you’ve been struggling to get your first you meet with a CFW coach for 30 minutes. They’ll see where how your movement currently is, and provide cues and progressions for you to do during that 30 minutes. After that 30 minutes you’ll also be given homework to do specifically related to your goal. In this instance, it would likely be kipping practice, and upper body strength work a few times per week.
