Kettlebell Course This Saturday, June 23rd
We are hosting a Kettlebell Course with Pete Boby this Saturday, June 23rd from 9am to 3pm.  Learning to properly implement kettlebell training will aid in Crossfit workouts as well as travel workouts where no other equipment is available. The kettlebell is a great tool due to its small size and versatile exercise capability. Kettlebell proficiency is a valuable skill in the general physical preparedness repertoire .  There are still spaces left, sign up sheet is on the whiteboard in the lobby.
Cost: $75

Rob A. performs split jerks. In the photo on the left his back foot has the heel planted on the ground with his back knee almost completely locked out and his hips rotated slightly to the right, compromising stability. In the photo on the right we corrected the back foot turning it slightly in with a bend in the knee, keeping the hips forward and maintaining a stable overhead position. The difference is subtle, but necessary to continue adding weight to the Jerk.

Crossfit – Day4/ Week 2

Deadlift 5r x 7s (4,0,x,0) – 2 minutes rest b/t sets

5 Rounds for time…
10 Thrusters (135/85)
50 Double Unders

Olympic Weightlifting

Class at 6:30 pm

You know what else is going on Saturday? Chrissy’s moving party!!

Well, “party” might be a bit of a stretch, but the moving part is right on! If you want to join in on the box-moving fun, let me know. There’s plenty of fun to go around! We’re planning on starting at 10:30 Saturday and since everything is packed, organized, and ready to go, it should go quick. No really, hubby’s “working” that day and I could use some muscles. I promise it’ll be an easy move. 🙂 Hit me up if you’re in to lend a sister a hand. 619 252 6495

Time to put some of that functional fitness to work. Saturday’s Team WOD: Complete Chrissy’s move for time. 🙂

I’ll be there to help. I will offer to bring coffee to anyone else who wants to help her out!

How long do you think it will take Chrissy? I have reading class with my little dude from 10:30 to 11:15/11:30. I can try to come after that.

    Thanks, Sara!

Albert – Hopefully not more than 2 hours or so. Everything is packed and organized in two storage units. We’ll be emtying the contents of my storage units into the moving truck and driving 1/2 mile up the road to unload it in the new house. I’m anticipating 2 trips at most with the truck. You’re more than welcome to join us when you finish reading group if we’re still at it. 🙂
