It’s been a great year here at CrossFit Wilmington. I am truly honored to be a part of this community of people. You all inspire me to be better every day.
We just got through Thanksgiving and are entering the holiday season. Tis the season of giving so they say, and we want to do a small part to give back to our community. Let’s get as many people involved as we can. Friends and family are very welcome to take part as well!
One of the most often overlooked facets of health and wellness is happiness. We’re creating that here at CFW. Think about the last time you were struggling to finish a workout. . . how many people were around you cheering you on and motivating you? They plaster a big smile on their faces post workout just for you – that’s some real happy!
So, let’s pass that happy along outside of our gym!
Next week, we’re asking for some acts of kindness. You’ll get a daily challenge that doesn’t appear to have much to do with your fitness. But we think it does.
We want you to realize that giving and sharing can make you much happier than receiving can. Once we establish that, we have a way to make ourselves happy for life!
To get the most from these tasks, you’ll want to remain anonymous. For example, your first challenge is an easy one: buy a stranger a coffee. If you’re shy, you don’t need to be seen. You’re not looking for acknowledgement, just spreading the happy.
On the other hand, I want to know–and I want you to see–how much ‘happy’ we’re putting into our local community this week. All of our members buying cups of coffee for strangers may just make the day a little brighter. It will make us feel good to be a part of our own little movement, so we want to identify ourselves without sharing specifics.
