The Coastal Clash
CrossFit Wilmington and Wilmington Strength & Conditioning are excited to announce The Coastal Clash, a fun competition of strength, power, and conditioning to be held on Saturday, August 4th.

The competition will consist of three events.  An “old school” olympic weightlifting event that will include the snatch, clean & jerk, and the clean & press, a deadlift and bench press total, and a WOD.  Competitiors can enter all three events, pick only two, or compete in only one of the events.  Prizes will be awarded to the top finisher in each event as well as the overall.

This event promises to be fun for all and is a great chance for anyone who has never competed to do so. The cost is $20 and includes an event T-shirt and food.  We are keeping the cost low so you can have a few bucks to enjoy your time in Wilmington, but any proceeds above the cost of the event will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Sign up for “The Coastal Clash” here.

Kris T. deadlifts 135 for 3 reps. Kris selected an ideal weight to lift with as the 3rd repetition was difficult on each set. She started her sets at 145 and when that became too difficult she dropped the weight to 135. In our strength work, the first set should be just as hard as the last, if the last rep of a set is not a struggle more weight should be added.

Crossfit Day 5/Week 3

Bench Press 3-4r x 6s

5 Rounds for time of…
20m Prowler Push (+75/+50)
8 Kipping Pull-ups

Excellent work this morning AM crew!

Really great energy, everyone focusing on their work AND having some fun joking around with eachother. THIS IS FAMILY.

Sad that I won’t be able to attend “The Coastal Clash”. I’m hosting our National Jujutsu Seminar that weekend. But it’s going to be AWESOME! GET SOME!

    E. White, Thanks for the kind words today and GREAT WORK on those Bench Presses!

If you want to sign up for the clash follow the link in the post. Even if you’ve never competed before come out and have some fun. It’s cheap and it’s local. You can’t beat that as far as competitions go
