Last January CrossFit Wilmington held a fundraiser for the family of Wilmington Police Officer Jody McPherson and adopted them as our own.  Jody passed last December from brain cancer and is survived by wife, Debbie and twin sons, Joseph and Jacob.  This Christmas we’re going to take a collection for Jody’s family and remind them his service and their sacrifice aren’t forgotten and they are still part of the community.  We’ve placed a jar at the front desk.  Make checks to: Debbie McPherson & Sons

CFW dominated the Front Squat WOD with 2nd (t.-335lbs), 3rd (Zach-325lbs), 4th (Ben-320lbs) places and 2nd (Dawn 195lbs), 3rd (Jana-175lbs), and 4th (Julie G.-170lbs).  Most of the crew hit PRs for their Front Squat Max and it was for 3 reps.

“It is not necessary that whilst I live I live happily; but it is necessary that so long as I live I should live honorably.” – Immanuel Kant

Andrew, in the pack, the strong give each other due respect and treat other members with honor. Therefore they behave honorably. The alpha, though always stern and in charge, allows the strong to be strong, teaching them to hunt and allowing them to. The alpha instills a code and it is how the pack thrives. The weak, lame, and sick of the pack are a nuasance to its efficiency and survivability. They are relagated to dishonorably stealing scrap at feeding and live without the respect of even the betas until ultimately ousted from habitating among the pack. Alone and with no alphas to take care of them, they perish.

Respect and honor are on a direct feedback loop. They are enjoyed by the strong and humble. The weak have no concept of either. They are, in everyway, vile little creatures existing on the scraps the strong allow them.

Thanks for the shout-out in your post from yesterday, and I thank you and your athletes for all of your support on Saturday. I truly admire CFW! The outstanding CF community of affiliates & athletes continues to amaze and humble me, and I am proud to be a part of something that is much bigger than our little bubble in OIB.

Thank you again for your continued support!

The best part of the Challenge is getting to see all our friends from across the state and catch up. The competition is fun, but chatting with everyone is tops.
You’re hosting of the affiliate gathering is another good time to see everyone and we’re looking forward to it. Glad to see you.

FYI… com has Inov-8s in stock. Order today, have ’em tomorrow.

Hey Caleb, did you see that they have the Inov-8s in green now? You can order another pair and wear one of each and really spread the holiday cheer!

Thank you for remembering our brother Jody and his family this Christmas. Another example of what CFW is all about.
