There are still open spots for the Wilkes Weightlifting Olympic Lifting Seminar on Sunday.  This is a great opportunity to learn the Oly Lifts and better your form.

This is quote from an article published yesterday in USA Today’s Wellness section…
"The government’s responsibility to get Americans moving will be discussed at the three-day Weight of the Nation conference next week. Public health advocates, government leaders and obesity researchers will meet in Washington, D.C."
When did it become a goverment’s responsibility to get people off their lazy a**es???  It’s a good thing for our tax dollars to go to more cycle lanes and paths.  It just seems that US citizens are getting more and more used to the government leading them.  Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around?
Read the article and try not to puke:
Caleb and Tanner typically compete with each other on the WODs,
but partnered up for yesterday’s team workout.
Yesterday was Tanner’s last WOD with us before he moves to Chapel Hill. Good luck and thanks from CFW.
CF Durham is gaining a hell of an athlete and instructor!

Most people only pay lip service to the idea of limited gov't. The majority of people are more than happy to pass the buck or blame off onto someone else. The gov't should provide me this. The gov't owes me that. Maybe the gov't should provide you with a swift kick in the ass.

The idealists just don't get that more gov't is not going to make their lives better or easier. They think that everyone should get handouts and that everyone should be the same. That's why were becoming a nation of sniveling lazy babies. They would have an ass wiping committee if they could!

  3. Andrew says:

Nice point Jen. I fear we're going to see more and more things forced onto us as a people, all in the name of "fairness." Why? Because people would rather bitch about inequality (physical, social, monetary) than actually do a little bit of hard work and reap what they sow. "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." I'm sure some people here are familiar with that quote…
