Not that I ever have, but I will NEVER talk smack about yoga!! It put a hurtin' on this big man.

  2. Tre says:

I've always wanted to try Yoga but never had the opportunity. And if it put a hurting on Josh I MUST try it lol! Will there be another class in the near future?

  3. Sara! says:

Dude, true yoga is fairly difficult, especially if you're not the most flexible person. Why not be open to new opportunities and experiences instead of drinking so much haterade? Isn't trying new things how you got started in CrossFit in the first place?

  4. ... says:

Tried it, lame. However it is a tribute to capitalism, soccer moms = $. What next, gymboree? crossfit for pets? Not haterade, reality-ade. If there were mirrors in the gym, and you could look at yourself I'm sure this would go away. Ha! Sensei, I expected a thrashing from you and a sales tirade from t.

  5. Meagan says:

Wow, it has been a long time since I have written on the comments page, but I have to speak up here. I was skeptical of yoga for a long time until I started teaching it. Yoga not only promotes flexibility, but it adds length to our muscles. Yoga helps to naturally detox our bodies. Now I am sure most of us eat so clean that we do not "need" to release toxins right? I doubt it. I believe the motto of CFW is "If you want more, you have to do more." Trust me, I don't like pushing passed my comfort zone either, but allowing myself to try Yoga a year ago opened my body to a different type of WOD. One that is not only a huge benefit, but it is refreshing. My suggestion is for all of us to try Yoga, and try it more than one time. Have a happy Tuesday! "NAMASTE" 🙂

  6. t. says:

Wow. I respect everyones point of view and opinions. That why I don’t censor the comments page. I enjoy discussion on any topics and would’ve enjoyed an intellengent forum on Yoga and it’s pro’s and/or con’s. I do not, however, respect anyone that doesn’t believe enough in what they have to say to post under their own identity. So Mr. “…”, I’ll not honor your ingnorant comments with an explaination of why we invited Tara into CFW or why I feel yoga is beneficial to our overall health and wellness. As far as a sales pitch… everything I do is at the most affordable prices and is always back by a money back guarantee. I don’t anyone who could present an arguement that I do not only give only the best instruction and classes. If you don’t think so, I welcome you to run down the street and sign up for the unlimited classes at the rate of $180/mo. And then report back us on what my staff I do here for the buck. So the yoga class, like other seminars, classes, and clinics I do, this one was also at very affordable price. Um, free.

  7. !!!! says:

The reality is that no one has a right to ridicule others when all they are trying to do it better themselves. If yoga does not suit you, dont do it. For others it is a way to become more flexible, stronger and centered. "Trying it" and understanding it are two different things. There is no debate.
"Many people assume that yoga and the martial arts have nothing in common. In fact, researchers consider the ancient practice of yoga to be the foundation of these fighting techniques. The modern martial artists are now rediscovering the benefits of this philosophical discipline." -http://yogamma.com/

Powerlifting, Oly lifting, Spinning, Yoga, Self Defense, kickboxing, nutrition counseling and ART seminars. Combine them… you've the best example of a CrossFit I've ever heard of. I bet your anonymos post tough guy is mediocre at best at any of them. That's typical in folk that haven't the balls to speak under their own given name. t. gives 3 hour nutrition classes for $20 bucks. 4 week oly course for $150. Sales pitch? Some things sell themselves. We've seen the results Tony and crew gets from all that stuff. Obvious the "…" pussy hasn't done any of it. The irony… he was probably sipping on a Starbucks gay whipped skinny caramel latte when he wrote that yoga bashing comment. Man up weakling.

  9. ju says:

Wow, "…" you are soooo cool! I bet your mummy dresses you for work everyday. I bet you look in the mirror everyday and cry because you realize how pathetic you are. Who the hell are you to judge someone for being active!!!!??? For your own information Tara came on her own terms! She came based on donations only! And not that it is any of your business, but I paid her out of my own pocket!! And by the way, I work hard for my money! Mummy and daddy don't pay my bills. Nor do I walk around trying to find someone to sue so that I may live the easy road. So SUCK it!!!! When you attack my clients you attack me. So bring it you dumb punk!!!

  10. Sensei says:

"…", We all have opinions. we all have our paths and history's that shape our outlook and thoughts on different ideas and methods. I would say for me that it is not the fact that you do not like Yoga or the fact that you spoke up about it. It is the fact that you called out the CFW as embarrassing and did it under an alias. What is it that you fear from writing your true feelings on something under your real name? Do you fear reprimand? Do you fear that I or anyone else would look at you differently in the gym? Or,…is it that you have not fully delved into the investigation that it would take to correctly and honestly, for you yourself to form an absolute opinion that may differ from just a macho knuckle dragging beer drinking opinion that "Yoga is for pussies"! My Yoga instructor is a mid forties Filipino woman that looks like she's twenty, is a mother of three, and can do handstand push-ups in her sleep. I however cannot do one handstand push-up complete and I have no fear of stating that on this blog. You sir, are either just trying to get us all riled up. Or do not think things through very well.

  11. Christina says:

t., was the yoga a one time thing or is she coming back regularly, cause I would love to "try" it!!

  12. ju says:

Oh and another thing "…," you make attacks towards my boyfriend, and I will make you wish you never woke up this morning. And thats a promise!

  13. liz says:

Agreed. I very rarely post on here, but that was by far one of the most close-minded comments I have ever read. "…" shut it.

  14. liz says:

Agreed. I very rarely post on here, but that was by far one of the most close-minded comments I have ever read. "…" shut it.

  15. Rachel Kay says:

You go Ju!! It sad to see how really ignorant people are the ones who ALWAYS have something to say. I would hate to live my life always angry at the world. Ha, yoga would actually help "…" to relax. Ironic?

  16. Sara! says:

You know what? I want to jump in on the next yoga class too. Why the heck not? I'll be glad to open my mind and reap any benefits afforded to me by something different. Also, does anyone know if we're having a beach WOD tomorrow?

  17. ... says:

What a battle? Just provoking you all. Better than the typical, "we're so great" back and forth banter. The cycling, kickboxing, etc are all great additions. Sensei, you are always there for the fight with a keen perception for the appropriate wit, t. as well. 😉 Great comments; some classy, some not so much. CFW has claws and passion, as usual.

  19. Angela says:

We are so great….and yes, that should be on the post every day! We celebrate our accomplishments and thrive on the defeats that give us character and make us strive to be even greater. I miss you all! (ps "…" ha lame)

  20. mike says:

"…", good job today, it took me a whole beer to get through it all as i am a knuckle dragger, oh and you suck.

  21. Ju says:

OK… I apologize for my not so "classy" comments. Admittedly I allowed my emotions to get the better of me. I am protective of CFW and Tony. I know how much of himself he puts into this place. All the extra programs and classes take so much. I also see him give so many so much and sometimes getting nothing in return. If you get into financial trouble, he'll let you skip payments… you can't get that elsewhere. So When someone even hints at him taking money or making things a "sale, I can't help but get upset. We brought yoga to CFW because you guys asked for it. Just like the nutrition, Oly courses, and everything else we charge almost nothing for. So "…" I would invite you to go "provoke" yourself elsewhere. You can take your drama down the street please.

  22. drew says:

PLEASE trust me on this… Not to knock any other CF gyms, but I have seen and recently gone to a few different boxes, and well, the caliber we get in Wilmington is on a level by itself. It's evident in every aspect (equipment, instructors, wod's, directions). I've witnessed things and form that you wouldn't see in even a intro-class member. Just the feel and comraderie alone makes CFW awesome, but from what I've been seeing, Tony and the crew at CFW have been setting the standard and opening new doors into the fitness world. p.s. I will be back in wilmington this weekend, but you all will be in Cali… say hey to alexandra for me, Uncle Sam has me stuck in Ft. Gordon.

  23. Em says:

"Just provoking you all. Better than the typical, "we're so great" back and forth banter. The cycling, kickboxing, etc are all great additions." Ok, I kept my mouth shut, which those of you that know me know how difficult that is, BUT "…" in one statement you praise the diversity the gym offers, and in another, make fun of the same diversity, "Tried it, lame. However it is a tribute to capitalism, soccer moms = $. What next, gymboree? crossfit for pets? Not haterade, reality-ade." Reality check to you, is yoga lame cause you suck at it? Do you bash anything in life that you do not excel in and glorify the areas you perceive yourself successful? I believe Freud would have a FIELD DAY with you, regardless of your gender (since either way you don't have the balls to show your identity). I'm bad at most things around the gym, but I keep trying, trying new things. I checked my ego at the door a long time ago…I suggest you "…" do the same.
