This is Dan in February.  42 years old and overweight.

This is Dan on Monday.  It’s only 5 months later and he’s 52 lbs lighter.   With hard work and dedication he has accomplished something the weak-minded only dream of.

These results are typical.

They’re typical of a strong-willed individual that recognizes there is no easy fix and takes control of his or her life, replaces their bad habits with good ones, and works hard.  Dan eats in The Zone and does our CrossFit program 5 days per week.  He has my respect and admiration.  We can all learn something from this guy. – Tony

WOD: 3 rounds, for time…

  • 10 cleans (135lbs – m / 95lbs – f)
  • 25 ring push ups

Holy shit. Amazing progress, Dan! I did not think those two pictures were of the same person.

Also, is there any way to tell how bad the tide is going to be today?

If you're still debating on coming out for the swim today, last week when we did it I swam the first and second rounds, took the third off and swam the fourth…I got better each time and I am hoping to make all four today…come on out, you can do it at whatever pace you need to and each time you do it you will get better…it's a great workout.
