  3. Felice says:

Oh yeah I almost forgot, I wanted to give a shout out to Meagan who PR’ed her snatch last night. Awesome job Meg!

  4. Meagan says:

The word POWER, from the French poeir and possibly Latin word potere, from which potent is derived. Both words refer to ability or being able.

Discipline from Latin. disciplina “instruction given, teaching, learning, knowledge” but typically in the context of given punishment. Modern usage is “orderly conduct as the result from training”.

Thomas, Tanner, and Meagan did not happen upon their PRs. Skill is learned through practicing the technique repeatedly with excellent execution.

You can never achieve excellence through mediocre training.

    Skill – learn it.
Intensity – do it with all your effort and focus.
Volume – repeat the first two.

So my teacher wife tells me this is a “Title I” government assistance program (head start)and probably not applicable to most… I somewhat retract my statement.
