Bridgette, Congratulations! I hope you enjoyed the scenic views of the Capitol, the serenity of Arlington and those wicked bridges at mi 24+! want to hear about your stride technique, were you able to stay pose? or did you heel strike? To our CFW tribe: I read those posts this morning and I cried. Taylor said it in a text:
At CFW, we use Ironman as a WOD to train for the CF Games!-2010 Baby!

Good Morning CFW. I am putting a link on here for a 5k Run/Walk coming up this Sunday 15 Nov in Hugh MacRae Park. It is a fund raiser for a close friend to a lot of us at CFW. GySgt Eden Pearl has sustained wounds that have him in the burn center in San Antonio Tx, where he will remain for the next 3 to 5 years. I can give you more information about Eden as a man and about his injuries on the side. The UNCW School of Nursing has put this together on behalf of Edan and his wife a graduate of UNCW Nursing program. The link I have added gives you all the details. For as many runners we have at CFW and as with everything else we do I bet we, CFW can have a STRONG showing on 15 Nov.Thank you all in advance for taking the time to support someone you do not know who has given so much for us all already!

Ilario – way to go this weekend, wish I could have been there to support. You truly are an amazing athlete and man. Ron – I'll be there this weekend to run and support! And Bridgett, great job on your Marathon, what a great accomplishment!

What many of us were able to witness this weekend was a phenomenal illustration of athleticism and control. To have that much control over one's mind and body is truly an accomplishment that most people have never and/or will never achieve. It was a truly inspiring event to watch. Congratulations Ilario on this amazing achievement and Wonderful job Colleen on your awesome swim time. Let's all "Be great today"…and everyday 🙂
