I’m going to do a class on endurance sports training. I’ll cover the pros/cons of LSD (high volume) vs. CF Endurance’s (high intensity), how to apply CFE’s training, progression into Endurance Sports, injury prevention/recovery, and nutrition. If you want to run that half or full marathon in March, I’ll present a low volume, injury free way to do it.

This WOD looks rough! Robyn you look great! As soon as I recover from the flu, I will be back in doing WODS. I never thought I would miss these until I was unable to do them

So I have a hazy memory of admiring Pat's back muscles as she did the snatches today. I think I was on my hands and knees on the floor trying to get started on a set of 10 pushups. Great job Pat and to everyone else in the midmorning today. Thanks for the cheers Don, you dragged me thru round 10!

Tony, count me in for the class, been waiting for something like this! Also Scott, recently the military standards have gotten really strict. But there are a vast majority of people too fat or injured to join also. All the other ones just didn't have parents who gave a damn about them. Both instances are sad, and reflect poorly on how we are raising people as a Country.

  5. Scott S says:

    t. – sign me up for the class on endurance. Thanks for showing the love and I look forward to toeing the starting line with you on March 21.

  6. Scott S says:

75 Percent of Young Americans Are Unfit for Military Duty – yep that is the headline on the internet today. Either they are too unfit, or have had run-ins with the law. Sad, sad, sad.

  7. No GOOD says:

Tony sign me up for the endurance class. And about that 75% of young Americans are unfit to join the service. All I have to say is see what happens when you dont beat you kids and you let them raise themselves with video games.

Meredith tore into it today with a 31:49 and Abby upped it with a 30:22 this evening. Zach put down a 25:53 and Daniel a 24:57. Just to have David show us all what it looks like at 21:34! I’ve heard a few refer to today’s WOD as a Cardio/Endurance type workout. So here’s a question to ponder… why did a sprint athlete clock the best time (by far)? Forget Zach, Abby, Meredith, and Daniel… they are all experienced CFers and the arguement is easily made that they do CF so they will do better at CF wods. But David has only been doing CF few weeks, 4 of which we’re Oly Lifing, not CF metcons. His background is the Decathlon and the longest run in his sport is 1500m. So again, how can a sprint athlete cut a workout time that takes experienced runners, cyclists, swimmers, and/or triathletes in half (or more)? I’m not beating up you LSD guys and girls, I’m trying to get you to evaluate your training. See you all November 17 at 7pm.
