Happy Birthday Scott and Jay!

 Gunnery Sergeant Eden Pearl
Good people for a good cause.
Ryan and Clair at Sunday’s "Run for Gunny Pearl".
It not only means
a lot to the family of Gunnery Sgt. Pearl that you all went out and pledged your time and money to support him and his, but it also let’s all our other military personel know people care and there will be someone there if they need them.  Only a few of the CFW members had ever heard of Eden Pearl before a few weeks ago.  But that’s all it took.
5 Rounds for time…
5 Tire Flips
5 Becks Burpee’s (Burpee w/ a long jump)
100m Sprint

Hey guys…the question was asked about making a donation to the "Run for Gunny Pearl" fund, even if you didn't make it to the run. If you wish to do this, you can make a check out to: Class of 2009 w/ a memo to "support gunny pearl 5k"…stick it in an envelope at the desk here at the gym and I'll get it to the student nurses that are taking care of this. On their behalf, thank you all so much for pulling together on short notice and helping this wonderful person and his family! You guys are awesome, and I am so blessed to be apart of this wonderful family!!

Random question/request (nothing to do with wods, crossfit, etc):
Crossfit family, does anybody know of restaurants/bars/clubs in need of chefs/cooks/waiters/bartenders? Or does anybody know of ENTRY LEVEL job openings? I know this is a very tough job market but if there's one thing I have learned, networking is key. In a nutshell, I am trying to help out my youngest brother who has had some pretty rough times of late. ANY assistance/leads would be greatly appreciated. Not being very picky here either. If you know of anything, please contact me at 910 987 0333. Or you can leave me a message/talk to me at the gym.
    Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the shout out Josh! It's so nice to get a WoD done and come to eat a great meal of Steak, Spinach, Sweet potatoe, and Avocado! You think it will offset the Oreos tonight?

And third Saturday PART 2 FIGHT NITE at the FOX and THE HOUND, we have a table reserved for 20 plus under CROSSFIT WILMINGTON, the catch is we have to be there at 2015-2020 to keep the table and not blow our chance to do this again. Also it is a $5.00 cover charge. The table is in the smoke free room in the back so get there fights start at 2100. Let me know if you want me to do the $5.00 fight cards. SO write it down set an alarm. It would be great to see some more of our CFW family out that we haven't seen in a while and this could be our last get together before GOBBLE GOBBLE Day!!! SO Hope to see all of you there!!

In a meeting for the better part of today with some folks from Greensboro. We had a working lunch provided by the WPD of chicken, rice, greenbeans, rolls, and apple pie. I helped myself to a piece of the chicken and then broke out my paleo lunch of grilled chicken with sundried tomatos, almonds, a small bit of feta cheese and ranch dressing (made for me by my wonderful wife). As soon as I broke out my lunch the group from greensboro were checking it out and telling me how good it looked. They asked me if I was on a diet and I told them I did paleo(silence). Now this is when I got really excited; because it leads me into talking about the paleo way of eating and CROSSFIT. I love talking to folks that have never heard of crossfit or paleo. I talked to them through the lunch about all of the benefits of Crossfit and paleo and even had some back up, Matt Ingram, who is still doing crossfit (but at the pd). I always feel invigorated after explaining how great I feel, and how much stronger I feel then at any other time in my life. I can't put words or thoughts together as well as Ilario or Scott but I'm all pumped up with pride in being part of something special. The end. as a side note, i loved the tire flips today. Great to see those back in the rotation. Happy Birthday to whomever's bday it is and Mere and Adam I hope you get to feeling better. I did leave the Greensboro folks with our CFW's website which I hope they will look at.

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to say thanks for looking out. So far I've gotten a massage from a beautiful Columbian woman (that was followed by some electric shock treatment… Columbians are freaks!), the absolute best Meatloaf I've ever had homemade by Mrs P. herself. Justin takes Viggo to play with his pack, and Josh, a.k.a "Holly Homemaker" cooked me potroast and a cheesy squash dish. Of course, Ron was on the spot from day one with the meds. And the list goes on… bottomline, thank you all for asking how I'm doing and what you could do to help. I'm walking again (kind of), if only from the bed to the couch, and I've even slept a little. I trust the crew is taking care you at the gym and from the looks of the program Josh has been posting you're not being shorted at the gym. Keep working hard and pushing your limits.

  12. drew says:

Glad to hear you're doing well Tony. I hope you're taking Rons advice to heart about military medical treatment: Waist up, use ibuprofen; Waist down, use foot powder. Get well soon

  13. Teague says:

Tony, I have NO CLUE what happened to you but my thoughts and prayers are with ya… and it doesn't sound like ur struggling too much haha jp. All the best!

  14. Brad says:

Happy Birthday Scott and Jay. Thanks Scott for the OMS prescription yesterday. Good Luck Andy in the playoffs – stay out of the box. Get well soon Tony.
