GOOD Mornin' fellow xfitters. I need Help!! I have been very frustrated lately with my hands hurting SO bad when I do my pull ups and it's really starting to piss me off ๐Ÿ™ I have torn and trying to keep the callouses down, but The Bar finds something new everytime! Does anyone have any suggestions.
    Thank You,
    Colleen's Hands

Colleen, Tony will probably shoot me down for this one, but CHALK, CHALK, and then a little more CHALK.

Just thought I'd share this with yall, CF Durham is having a competition to crown the โ€œThe Fittest Man and Fittest Woman In Carolinaโ€. Its on Dec 12th. Dunno if anyone is interested just thought I'd post it up ๐Ÿ˜›

  4. Sensei says:

I ripped my hand the deepest ever yesterday too Colleen. I would say try the "Ilario baseball glove" trick and go from there. OR, you could be like Maria and Cam and chalk up even for a 400m run. HA HA you know I love you guys!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Colleen, Taylor introduced me to Leather Gymnast beginner wraps. Google them ~$12. My hands were the same way. Middle top side, you name it. I still take care like I used too, but I tear nothing like I used to with the wraps. I almost beat Don O. in a WOD with Pull-ups last week. He got me on the box jumps. I owe it to the wraps. HA

Hey everyone – there is a new Wrightsville Beach Marathon/Half Marathon set for March 21, 2010. Pat and I just registered (for the half) and would love to get a team together. Here is the link http://www.setupevents.com/index.cfm?
It is limited to 1000 in each race, so register soon!

  7. Noelle says:

Oh my gosh. Who is Fran and what is HER deal? Seriously. If she was a real person… I'd run screaming at the sight of her. Thanks for help this AM Dawn. This is going to be quite a ride…

March 21 – I'm in for the half or full. I'm coming back from injury now so if anyone wants to train from scratch… I'm starting these next few weeks with simple 30 minute easy runs and then will start doing xfit endurance stuff. Any one of you can do this… so don't be scurred!

  8. ChrisJ says:

I'm interested in the 1/2 marathon in March. Are you thinking about forming a training team? -Chris Jones

  9. drew says:

Man, I guess I'd be down for that half (and maybe the full, oh god did I just say that?) in march. Ive found some pretty good success using CFE and 1-2 long runs a week getting ready for the battleship half marathon, would love to see tue/thur CFE group workout or something, could be lots of fun ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. ChrisJ says:

CFWers, I like the idea of a 1/2 marathon as it's on my life's To-Do list but, as yet, haven't followed through. If a group from CFW will train together/hold accountable, that would be right down my alley and I'd be all for it! Let me know and I'll get signed up. -Chris Jones

  11. Sandra says:

NOELLE, the training sounds encouraging for those of us who only run when we're being chased. Let's talk more… And if a training team gets started even better. Happy HUMP day CF!

  12. ilario says:

I like the idea of the half. that's all the "volume" I'll ever want to do again. Anyone want to do this Battleship Half with an American Flag that we hand off?? (oh no he didn't…)we can go at an easy pace…

  13. Angela says:

I'm doing the Battleship Half Nov. 1…I'm down for the flag!! however, my pace is potentially slower than Ilario's "easy pace"

  14. drew says:

Ilario, I'm not gunning for much faster than an average of 10min miles for the half, but I'd definitely be down to carry the flag!

  15. Noelle says:

Loving this enthusiasm. For the wrightsville beach half/full I'm all in to help in any way I can. I'll help coach (encourage) those doing their first… or I can put a schedule together of meeting times/places and hold anyone and everyone accountable. ๐Ÿ™‚ As long as you guys keep pushing me beyond my limits in the xfit department… I'll return the favor!

  16. Ereka says:

Participating in a half-marathon has always been on my bucket list. I would love to join a CF team and train. I used to run, but lately the only time I am running is when prescribed!
