Join USAW Sports and Performance Coach, and American Open lifter, Jonathan Poole for an introduction to Olympic Weightlifting.
Over the course of 6 weeks, you will learn the basics of the Snatch and Clean & Jerk and the differences between weightlifting as a sport and weightlifting as it relates to CrossFit.
By the end of the course your technique will improve, and you'll learn how to perform the lifts more effectively and efficiently. It is not uncommon to add 10-15% to your 1 rep maxes in the lifts across the 6 weeks.
The difference between this course and ones that we have run in the past, is that this course is designed to run concurrently with your CrossFit training. You'll be given some "homework" exercises to do outside of your typical training, but you won't be asked to forgo any of your other programming, only add a little bit to it.
Our course will run on Wednesdays at 6 pm and Saturdays at 9 am starting on March 16th. Cost is $155.
