By Josh | In Today's Workout | on December 8, 2012

This Thursday’s team wod will be “Captain’s Choice”.  I.e., the team Captain will choose a team member to complete one of the below events for score.  Plan ahead.

Team Competition WOD #13: Captain’s Choice (For Thursday, December 13th)

Team Captains choose who can best represent their Team for each component.  A team member can only do one workout.  That name and the workout he/she will complete must be submitted prior to 1800 on Wednesday.

Submit the name, event, and time for scoring.

  • 7 minute AMRAP of Get up/ Get Down with sandbags (60/40)
  • Benchpress (205lbs/120lbs) As many reps as possible in 2 minutes.
  • For time:  20 Snatch (185lbs/120lbs)

– If Workout #4 is scaled down in weight, the reps are increased x 1 per lbs the load is decreased.

Are there rules about how many events any one person can do?

Team 1: who is willing to do one of these? So we can assign.

A person can do them all but his/her score can only be submitted for one event and they must be selected for that event prior to Thursday. I.e., your entire team cannot do all events then turn in the person who did the best in each. The intent is to identify who will do the best in each event and have them complete it. If the team Cpt chooses wrong, the team pays for it.

t – How does the scaling work for #3? If the weight goes down then do they lose time to compete?

Sara – I am down to do 1, 2 or 3. I can’t snatch 185 though so I am out there without scaling. Scott said he would do the 3 miles if nobody else wanted to. Can we get Felice in on Thursday for Snatches!!??!!

If team 1 is on Facebook hit me up or e-mail me so I can start a chain with everyone: albertsteed10 @ gmail . com

Oversight… Scaling is disallowed on #3. Post will be corrected to show as much.

You are aware some of us on a team do not know each other and what each is capable of to decide who is the best at what….very frustrating!
